WHAT WE DO
FELLOWSHIP - FUNDRAISING - CULTURAL EXCHANGES - YOUTH ACTIVITES
While our world has changed dramatically since 1938 when our club was founded, our purpose has always remained the same: SERVICE ABOVE SELF.
Locally, we do this by supporting dozens of projects annually, through financial contributions AND hands-on work. We support things like academic programs, the arts, charities, community improvement projects and much more.
Sometimes those projects are within our own nation – like a literacy project that created a reading program in an Appalachian mining town – or the financial support we sent to tornado-ravaged Joplin, Missouri.
We also contribute worldwide. Along with millions of other Rotarians around the world, we are THIS CLOSE (link to that campaign) to the complete eradication of Polio. And, through the efforts of local Rotarians and their contacts, we have found ways to help orphans in Haiti and Venezuela, school children in Africa and many others across the world.
