The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. President Bill Sullivan started the meeting; Connie Blackmon led us in prayer.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dick Beckman passed away Thursday evening. Visitation will be at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday and from 8:00 to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday. Funeral service is at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Due to the holiday, we will not visit as a group, but please pay your respects to the family at your convenience.

Remember you can get a Rotary license plate and Mastercard...See Bill Sullivan.

Mark your calendars for ROTARY HAPPY HOUR –Thursday, Sept. 25 at the outdoor gazebo @ 5 p.m. at Michael's. Appetizers provided - you are responsible for your drinks.

PROGRAM
Holli Martin, Connie Blackmon and Lisa Hunsche gave a program on our inbound Youth Exchange Program...very informative on how it works and why we all need to be a part of hosting our exchange students. One of the main requests was that volunteers would step forward to drive Antonia to district functions. At the present we need someone to pick up and bring Antonia home on Sept. 7th from Jacksonville, IL. It is Inbound Orientation at Jacksonville College. The event ends at 3:30 p.m., so if you can do this please contact Linda Jakel or Lisa Hunsche ASAP.

The Board has accepted and approved a membership application for Larry Deiters, President of NACO Printing. If no objections are received by the Board within the next 7 days, he will be invited to join Highland Rotary Club.
