2012 ROTARY FUNDRAISERS
We feel our time is better spent HELPING than raising money. That's why our club has elected to commit to only three fundraisers each year. These successful events help us raise more than enough money to fund many local and international projects. Our fundraisers include:

You've heard of duck races, right? Well, our club put a little spin on the traditional and developed a rubber fishy race. In February, we begin to sell fish "adoptions" for $5 each. Each adoption ticket has a number that corresponds with a numbered fish. On race day, which is typically in March, we drop the little swimmers down the water slide at the Korte Recreation Center and the fish that crosses the finish line first wins $1,000 for its owner. All proceeds from this event goes to specifically fund an international project each year.

Our annual citrus sales has become a community tradition. In addition to the general public, many area employers look forward to our sales season to purchase gifts for employees and clients. We've even brought in the Silver Creek Rotary Club in Troy, Illinois to participate (we helped form that club in 2009).
It's pretty simple...we take pre-orders of bags and/or cases of tasty oranges and grapefruit and deliver those orders as the citrus arrives. After the pre-sales, each of us does our best to sell additional citrus to our co-workers, family and friends. And, nearly every year, you'll see Rotarians outside of Wal-mart, TruBuy and Rural King, making the fruit available to the public.
If you are interested in purchasing a ticket, please contact any member of the club listed on our Contact page.
